		<description>Hi,

My name is Jessie and I&#039;m one of the coordinators for the SYC Mentorship Program. I&#039;m looking for a Marketing Analyst/Specialist who would be interested in mentoring a student in our program. This program is designed to guide post-secondary students in their school and career decisions by pairing them with a working professional. We have a student in our program who wishes to become a Marketing Specialist (our student is currently a Marketing Major) and I was hoping you would be interested in mentoring.

The mentees are post-secondary students who are seeking advice and experience in their field - confirming that what they are studying or pursuing is either the right or wrong avenue for them. The Mentor tells their mentee about how they got into their career, what they did in school, their struggles, and enlightens the mentee on their career to aid in their decisions.

Below is more information about the program.

-Began as an SYC project 3 years ago and we have seen incredible growth in our applications. We have over 50 people committed already
-10 Month program commencing March 9, 2012 where a mandatory Welcome Dinner is held to introduce the pairs to each other. Program will end in January 2013
-Time commitment from Mentor is just 2 hours per month to meet with the student on their own time
-5 group activities for the entire Mentorship Program group to meet together and enjoy professional and academic activities
-$500 Scholarships provided to the most excelled Mentee
-Certificates of Recognition and other awards are provided
-Program is 100% Free! (This means all activities are completely free)

More information is available at http://www.sikhyc.com/node/23 but if you do have more questions, please do not hesitate to call me.

Thank you for considering my request and I hope to hear from you soon!
